School Psychologist Difference
Dr. Sweeney is a licensed school psychologist. This is someone who has been specifically trained in the intersection of psychology and education. Having worked in public schools, private schools, and universities, Dr. Sweeney has intimate knowledge of how education and academics impact children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition to academics, Dr. Sweeney has seen how social pressures and extracurricular pursuits can impact students. Conversely, with her clinical training and experience, Dr. Sweeney understands how significant emotional, behavioral, and societal issues can impact young people at school and at home. Dr. Sweeney understands that people do not operate within a vacuum; children, adolescents, adults, and families have a lot of pressures and responsibilities pulling them in many different directions. With an integrative, multisystemic, and strengths-based approach, Dr. Sweeney can understand and help you and your loved ones work through these difficult times.
